The origins of the Group can be traced back to 1951 when Dr. Cesare Alliata Bronner, an engineer and decorated veteran, created CESPA which went on to become one of the first large scale real estate development companies in Italy. CESPA and her sister companies are credited for sponsoring the first affordable housing projects in Italy as well as playing a major role in the massive expansion of the post-war urban development in Rome.

Cesare Alliata Bronner was succeeded in 1992 by Salvatore D’Agostino who consolidated ownership, revisited capital structures and initiated a strong growth-seeking investment strategy.

Today, the H1 Holding S.p.A. is one of the most accredited real estate groups in Italy with an impeccable track record and strong credit rating with Italy’s major financial institutions.
